The Mini-Art is a workshop where Roger Solomon conducts six individual sessions with six participants, while other participants watch the sessions. Hence, for the majority of the participants, it is a workshop to learn more about the utilisation of EMDR therapy through observations.
Only up to six participants have the opportunity to do some personal work. These participants should think about what they want to work on – a present trigger (a recent time the problem was experienced), and its past connecting memories. Many choose to work on complex issues involving “parts, so that stabilisation, co-consciousness, and cooperation can be achieved.
Participants who would like to volunteer to do personal work with Roger need to give permission to be videotaped, and agree to get follow-up as needed. Other EMDR therapists who are observing will take an oath of confidentiality, so as to establish a safe environment and ‘no-shame zone’ for our volunteers as they work through their vulnerability during demonstration.
Eligibility:
EMDR practitioners who have completed an approved 2-Part EMDR Basic Training and a previous Master Class.
