To apply for certification:
- Download “Certification” Application Form.
- Complete application form according to the instructions given below
- Submit soft copies of application form and supporting documents to registrar@emdr.sg
- Certification Application Fee (Non-refundable): SGD 50
You will be notified of the outcome of your application in about 2 months.
If application is successful, you will receive a certificate from the association stating you are a Certified EMDR Practitioner with EMDR Singapore for a period of 3 years.
Instructions for completion of application form:
1) Have you completed an Approved EMDR Basic Training recognised by EMDR Singapore?
Answer YES or NO on the application form and attach the Certificate of Completion of your EMDR Basic Training.
2) Do you have a current and valid status as:
a) Clinical Member or Registered Counsellor of the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC); or
b) Full Member or Registered Social Worker of the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW); or
c) Full Member or Registered Psychologist of the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS).
d) 600 hours post-degree supervised clinical work experience within the last 3 years
Indicate YES or NO on the application form and attach a copy of supporting document issued by SAC, SASW or SPS, or a declaration letter signed by clinical supervisor, Head of Department or Employer.
3) Have you, within 3 years immediately preceding this application, conducted at least 50 EMDR sessions with no less than 25 clients in which 75 percent of cases to be phase 4 and further?
Answer YES or NO on the application form and attach a copy of the Client Session Log supporting this statement.
4) Have you received 15 hours of supervision/consultation by an EMDR Singapore Approved Consultant after the completion of your Basic EMDR Training?
Answer YES or NO on the application form, and submit Consultation Log signed by the Approved Consultant(s).
5) Are you currently a Full Member with EMDR Singapore?
Answer YES or NO on the application form.
6) Payment of Certification Application Fee: SGD50 (non-refundable)
